The Palliative Pain Management Course is organized by the Riyadh Second Health Cluster and will be held on September 15, 2025, at King Fahad Medical City (KFMC), College of Medicine, 3rd floor classroom 310. This one-day event runs from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and offers 8 CME Hours accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and ACCME. The course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with updated knowledge and practical skills in managing pain, with a focus on palliative and oncology patients.
The course objectives include recognizing pain mechanisms, applying standardized assessment tools, evaluating pain crises, and using PCA in cancer pain. It will also cover the management of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), and the roles of ketamine, lidocaine, and methadone in pain control.
